#1. ONE CITIZEN=ONE VOTE

As a representative government, the people give their consent to be governed by the elected at the ballot box. Any system that allows selective access to the ballot or relies on an intermediary interpretive process to determine the outcome of an election, is susceptible to CORRUPTION of its integrity. Does our current election system produce a CLEAR MANDATE from the people? If we created a NEW ELECTORAL SYSTEM, what would we want that system to BE…

A political system in which candidates run for office based solely on the merits of their ideas. An election system in which the winning candidate is decided by the people at EVERY step of the process, from the Primary to the General election. When you walk into the booth in November, you already know every candidate on the ballot because every candidate has already faced MULTIPLE statewide primary elections and they have been fully vetted… not by a group of wealthy individuals or entities who stand to profit off of a particular candidate, but by EVERY REGISTERED VOTER in EVERY STATE.

Right now, how do candidates for office make it on to the ballot? MONEY. And that effects EVERY aspect of our daily lives, in the form of the legislative agendas pursued by the winning candidates.

In our current Primary Election Process, KANSAS has just as much Electoral Power as CALIFORNIA… because neither of us are IOWA, or NEW HAMPSHIRE, or SOUTH CAROLINA. By the time the first handful of States have decided who they think should be on the ballot, the impression of being a “viable candidate” has been cast. Any candidate that doesn’t win in those first States, in the eyes of the voters, is irrelevant.

But, then again… it really doesn’t matter what the voters decide at the ballot box. ALL decisions are made at the convention by the DELEGATES. The long days, shaking hands, eating corn dogs, promising this and that… if the DELEGATES can’t agree, it’s all up for grabs.

The Constitution does not outline our current system. It’s a patchwork of precedent and legislative guardrails passed to prevent misdeeds from reoccurring, while ignoring wrongdoing that goes “undetected”, and failing to prevent future abuses of a largely unregulated system.

We should not stifle candidate’s voices or limit their possibilities, but we should more clearly define the parameters in which they are allowed to operate.

Every candidate’s message should be fully accessible to every voter INSTANTLY via a universally trusted source. Without the filter of the media. Without the filter of moneyed interests. If a question of substance arises during the campaign, a voter should have easy access in order to ask that question, and how the candidate chooses to address it will be seen by EVERY VOTER. On the FIRST DAY. On the LAST DAY. Every voter. Every candidate, regardless of party.

No legally binding limitations on candidates’ ability to engage in debate. The vision and direction of the campaign should be decided by the candidate and judged by the voters, not first judged by the FUNDRAISERS and THEN the voters. The current system gives rise to deception, in fact it is REQUIRED to be successful. Candidates are forced to run a campaign that appeals to a majority of HALF of the electorate FIRST, to display PARTY LOYALTY… in order to secure FUNDS.

… how much of that total is just waste and greed?

All Federal Elections should be 100% FUNDED by the TAX PAYERS. The candidate directs the message and creates the VISION, the PEOPLE fund its creation.

Yes… that is a lot of money. But just consider the amounts currently spent on advertising and appearances on media outlets. The United States can leverage a better deal when purchasing ad blocks for EVERY CANDIDATE and air-time for ALL EVENTS… equally. It unlocks multiple possibilities for SAVINGS, but also for GROWTH.

All of the effort dedicated to changing the way we choose our candidates would be wasted if we did not address the other side of this issue… who should be allowed to vote in our elections.

Voter suppression. Through threat of violence, through fear and intimidation. Through misinformation and misappropriation. MILLIONS of dollars are spent every year to stop people from casting a vote. To paint a picture in the minds of select groups of voters that says, ‘Your vote doesn’t count’ or ‘Send a message by NOT voting’… all while knowingly aiding their preferred candidate just by keeping people OUT of the process.

LOWER participation in their eyes, means VICTORY on Election Day.

The War on Drugs has created a PERMANENT way to disenfranchise millions of voters through the legal process. Laws carrying punishments that take away voting rights, written by legislators that are BEHOLDEN to campaign DONORS, both of whom will never be targeted by such laws. Even if they were, they could easily afford the legal fees necessary to evade punishment.

Felony convictions, YEARS behind bars… for possession. MILLIONS of people who cannot vote while serving their sentence, and are unable to regain their right to vote once released. The requirements in some States are vague, unattainable, or discretionary depending upon who stands before the governing body that decides their fate.

Elected officials represent ALL of the people in their districts. Right now, prison populations are INCLUDED in Census numbers, deciding how much federal funding goes where.

For-profit legislators, beholden to for-profit organizations who FUND their campaign…

Sounds like an easy way to stack the deck.

Every prisoner should have the right to vote, while serving their sentence and after they are released. If the goal is rehabilitation and a successful transition back into society, then they should feel like they are a part of the system and have a say in their destiny.

What should be required to vote?

CITIZENSHIP.

That, and age.

The age of enfranchisement was lowered under President Nixon from 21 to 18. As the Vietnam War raged and the draft was sending citizens 18 years and older off to war, it made sense to give them a VOICE on who was making that decision. From another perspective, I would not want to send someone off to war without their having a say in the matter, just as I would not want a CHILD deciding my fate.

But our definition of the word “war” has evolved. Since that time, we’ve invaded a country unilaterally without evidence supporting our decision. We’ve declared a war on an “idea” that has no clearly defined objective, and we’re currently under attack in an undeclared VIRTUAL WAR where NO ONE can be charged with aiding and abetting our adversary.

In 2019, more CIVILIANS died in mass shootings than SOLDIERS were killed on the battlefield in the War on Terror.

… and elected officials in the United States Senate still DO NOT ACT to SAVE LIVES.

At 16 we can get a job, drive a car, and PAY TAXES. The ability to participate in our society begins at 16.

Every United States citizen over the age of 16 should be guaranteed the Right to Vote. That should be the goal of the United States Election System.

The Case FOR The People

I hear what they’re saying… free tuition for ALL, free healthcare for ALL, debit forgiveness… They want to give away the STORE! To please you… to please “THEM”… to please ME.

But how many times have they promised us THE MOON, then stuck US with the bill on a $400 HAMMER? Talked about being greeted as “liberators”, only to be kicked out by THEIR elected government.

Assuring us that there WAS WMD… but they must have DISPOSED of it.

All of them are clambering around to take a shot at the “Big Banks” and “Big Tech” and “reign in Wall St.” Just as they did after 2008? Statutes and regulations passed, then slowly degraded through DE-FUNDING, eroding protections, issuing fines that amount to “pocket change” when (and IF) laws are found to be broken… actions taken by elected officials BEHOLDEN to the SAME entities for THEIR re-election. It is a COLD HARD TRUTH-

MONEY DECIDES OUR ELECTIONS.

After the Speakership of Paul Ryan ended, for the FIRST TIME in 10 years The House held a hearing on GUN VIOLENCE. For 10 years, The House did NOT actively investigate solutions to PREVENT GUN DEATHS. The Dickey Amendment forbids the CDC to FUND RESEARCH into PREVENTING GUN DEATHS… while the NRA spent over $30 MILLION in the 2016 election, donating to re-elect politicians loyal to their FUNDS.

In 2009, our elected officials passed the TARP Act to “bail out” the banks. Most news outlets did not call out the fact that these institutions were INSURED… on top of the bailout, they were REIMBURSED for their losses.

Donald Trump inflated the value on a $20 MILLION property to over $200 MILLION in an attempt to secure a loan to buy a FOOTBALL TEAM.

Meanwhile I couldn’t write off snow tires as a work expense for my wife, a PEDIATRIC INTENSIVE CARE NURSE who was designated a critical team member, required to show up during ANY natural disaster… guess I need a better TAX MAN.

In 2003, when my wife and I purchased our home, we knew the school district wasn’t the best, but we hoped we could rehabilitate our house and turn it into a profit, then move somewhere with better schools before our kids reached that age. The housing market has not returned to where it once was, and the schools have not improved.

We decided the work on our house could wait, and we enrolled our boys in a private school. It’s NOT EASY… financially speaking. But not everyone HAS that option! Many families are STUCK with whatever their elected officials provide for education. Elected officials, who are influenced by the FUNDS of wealthy groups who have earned their wealth… in PRIVATE, FOR-PROFIT EDUCATION.

History books are compiled and decided, curriculum, accountability, and standards decided by appointees… appointed by elected officials, BEHOLDEN TO FUNDRAISING.

The DONOR over the VOTER.

The people on the ballot, when it comes time for us to vote, are there because they were the BEST FUNDRAISER. At the beginning, in the primaries, in the LOCAL race for State Rep or State Atty General. MONEY decided who COULD run, and ultimately who DID run.

Look now at the Democratic Primary Debates. The idea of FUNDRAISING deciding who should have the HONOR of addressing the PEOPLE… couldn’t they have just as easily employed a polling/survey method of SOME type?

“If you want your VOICE to COUNT, you better throw in a BUCK!”

INSERT ISSUE HERE ______. IF a politician can manipulate a particular issue in such a way that it motivates DONORS to DONATE to the PARTY, then that issue will NOT BE RESOLVED. It will continue to be “on the verge ” of being “taken away” or you will be “forced to submit” to it ANY DAY NOW…

The question is… are we ready to DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT?

The system WORKS, so well in fact, the FATAL FLAWS within it have become OBVIOUS to anyone of GOOD FAITH. We must make a CHOICE.

We can either fundamentally alter our system in an attempt to legislate a solution to every possible flaw that could arise, while continuing to correct mistakes AFTER they have presented themselves…

We can CHANGE the way we CHOOSE the people we elect to represent us. Ensure the VOTERS have the ultimate say in EVERY STEP of the election process…

From PRIMARY ELECTION to GENERAL ELECTION.

WE FUND THE CANDIDATES.

Every Federal election.

EVERY time.

Give EVERY candidate EQUAL ACCESS to election funding and the press, and debates will focus on solutions to issues, not stoking fear and anger… pointing fingers instead of TAKING ACTION.

Any candidate who runs on a platform like that will be CLEARLY exposed by full public scrutiny… of their message, of their policies and positions… and without the filter of DARK MONEY. FUNDS donated by people who might prefer it if… SOME people didn’t know they were donating to such a cause. Groups and individuals who DONATE to campaigns on BOTH SIDES, expecting to buy influence with whomever wins the election… because the POLITICAL PARTIES need money, too.

Over the course of the last 16 MONTHS of this campaign, I’ve posted 100 entries here on my website and Tweeted over 15,000 Tweets, clarifying my position on every topic, from Kavanaugh to Parkland. From disenfranchisement in Georgia to disenfranchisement in Dodge City, Kansas. I’ve attempted to be OPEN and HONEST about my positions and have encouraged folks to press me for clarification if needed and will continue to do so. Even though it could be seen as a political cop-out, ducking and dodging policy positions so as not to be tied down to ONE position over the OTHER… I question the entire PREMISE OF THE DEBATE on EVERY ISSUE being tossed around right now. The desire of every candidate to pin down EVERY position on EVERY issue seems premature…

Don’t forget, the United States Senate is where good legislation goes to DIE.

The president ALONE does NOT make the Law. Where do these Senators expect to find the bi-partisan support necessary to FUND all of these campaign promises? BILLIONS on Trump’s wall… TRILLIONS on tuition forgiveness?

What about the SYSTEMIC PROBLEMS that have created the ASTRONOMICAL COST of secondary education? And the financial institutions left unchecked to take advantage of the unsuspecting and vulnerable?

A Band-Aid won’t fix the KNIFE IN OUR BACK… and back ’round we go again, back to the attack on the MAIN financial tool middle class Americans have relied on for the last 75+ years for our social advancement- INCREASING HOME EQUITY. Homeowners can only do SO MUCH to make that happen. A large part of it relies on the UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT to do it’s part by making communities SAFER and keeping INFRASTRUCTURE up-to-date and IN GOOD REPAIR, among MANY others.

The NEXT President of The United States should NOT be the candidate who says, “I went out and listened to what ORDINARY AMERICANS have to say.” The next President of The United States should already know what’s on the mind of Ordinary Americans… because THAT’S WHO THEY ARE. Because MY SURVIVAL is tied directly to YOURS.

WE are the BALANCE upon which the entire system is judged…

What do we want our government to LOOK LIKE?

WHO should our government work FOR?

Is our system what we want it to BE? Remove the CORRUPTION and restore HONOR in governance… and we will discover how much MORE our system of governance can BE.

THE PEOPLE, and their UNIVERSAL ACCESS to the ballot, become the SECURITY SYSTEM protecting our Constitutional Democracy. Ensuring FAIR and EQUAL REPRESENTATION, based NOT on DOLLARS… but on EACH OTHER.

We MUST End The Electoral College.

At This Moment.

It seems as if the final product of the “system program” written by Our Framers, was an A.I. of some sort.

At this moment, it’s “tethered”, under our control. Not to say our government is under our control… FAR FROM IT!! But, to say our government is TIED to the same faults as Man. Lust, Power, Greed, Sloth, etc. Because we ALLOW it, our government is tied to the ALMIGHTY GREENBACK, and ALL of the products that come from it.

So how do we release this program? How can we have an “OUT” and not have an undue influence on the creation? How do we allow it to flourish and recognize its full potential?

1.) The Right of the People to access the ballot MUST be UNIVERSAL.

It is the VOICE of the people and WE are the final say. The balance upon which the system ITSELF is judged.

2.) Elections MUST be funded and secured by the Federal Government.

ALL elections. Eliminate ALL outside funding in every single election from TOP to BOTTOM.

3.) Repeal and Replace the Electoral College.

The STATES have a voice in the form of the Senate. The Cities and communities have a voice in the form of Representatives. As these two bodies work to craft Legislation at the direction of the People on the WHOLE, The President is the embodiment of Our Nation reflected in the hearts and minds of the PEOPLE DIRECTLY in that moment, to direct the course of Liberty at THAT particular time.

To rise and defend in the face of tyranny or to shepard peace, as the days dictate. To lift up the heart of the Nation in the depths of depression, or direct careful stewardship in times of wealth. A leader we can trust with the keys to The White House without us having to watch EVERY goddamned minute to make sure he’s not gonna burn the place to the ground!

And due to the Antiquated Security System, the ‘Outdated Firewall’ we call the Electoral College has allowed a Trojan Horse through the front doors of The White House. To FIX the system, we must RELEASE the system from our control, our corrupt influence. To be a PURE system of justice and judgement, as imagined by the Framers, we must set it free.

Spooky, I know! I shuddered when I first thought it. But the more I think about it, I can’t knock it. I make more arguments FOR it than AGAINST. It solves ALL of our basic problems AND all of our complicated ones, too. It will allow an open arena for discussion of fact and truth, ALL of the ideals and principles this Country was founded upon. It would empower ALL of the UNPROVEN CONCEPTS our Founding Fathers ENVISIONED would make the best form of governance!

Here, within the “experiment in Constitutional Democracy”, we don’t have the FULL VIEW of the project. STEP BACK, in your mind, and look at the WHOLE of our time as an invention, ready to be UNVEILED!

And, thanks to every paranoid super villain ever to be portrayed in EVERY superhero story in our time, we know we MUST have an ‘out’… a kill-switch, a backdoor to the system. Just in case, you know? I don’t think we should free the system ENTIRELY… after all, it’s got nukes!

I believe it’s the final piece of it all. In order to secure the Rights of ALL Citizens, in ALL States and Territories, the overall control and Authority of Our elections must be given freely to the Federal Government in the form of a new Constitutional Amendment. It is the final act of acceptance of Our System as the best form of governance. THAT will be the “RESET BUTTON”. A remedy that, if enough of the population eligible to vote calls for it, we can revert to the Electoral College system immediately. A simple Repeal and Replace.

IF we believe this to be the best hope for Humanity to live FREE, then we must SHOW IT in how we follow the Rule of Law.

I can’t shake the feeling that there’s a giant disconnect between our elected government and reality… what I do in my everyday ordinary life, the standards I am held up to; and what our elected officials do in THEIR everyday life and the consequences of their actions. This shows in the statement “We don’t talk about politics at the dinner table.”

Why not? To suppress an argument? To avoid dissent or criticism of your opinions? Ours, truly is, a favored nation! To take for granted the Liberty we enjoy was the blissful State our Founders dared only dream of, because the nightmares they could see warned what could come when we overindulge our fantasies.

Unfettered liberty. An expression of the individual’s rights OVER the government’s rights… maybe more like an EQUAL of the government’s rights. A “Thought Experiment”, a theoretical puzzle, to consider the possible outcomes.

At this moment, our system of governance is LABELED in one way, but it is NOT in practice and product. It is “Of the People”, the governed elect the government, but when the numbers are skewed to favor one over another, the system is NOT as advertised! It’s like a Mustang with the engine of a Pinto under the hood.

I am a stubborn mule. My opinion is correct… until it is not. When I am presented with a better argument I accept it. Not usually right away. Sometimes I may argue a futile position for a minute, but the decision is made after hearing discussion and facts. Just as the MAJORITY of the electorate in this Country.

When George W. Bush spoke to the Nation about yellow cake uranium, I believed what My President said. IN THAT MOMENT, as a citizen of the United States of America, I believed my Commander-in-Chief would not LIE. As did the MAJORITY of Americans… but WE were not privy to any “intelligence”. Elected officials who were “in the know” orchestrated a fairytale about WMD in the desert. The SADDEST part isn’t that we were ‘duped’ and allowed it to happen, to me the WORST part is these officials did it WITH INTENT…

What IS that intent?

Our system of government has produced advancements that make our lives better, longer, happier and healthier. Tied to it has ALWAYS BEEN a sacred responsibility. I enjoy taking for granted the trivial day-in and day-out Liberty of a suburban family. To eat a Tofurky for Thanksgiving, with every single side dish ever conceived… THEN 5 kinds of PIE! These feelings of family and unity, we take for granted. The warmth of that knowledge that, with a belly full of stuffing, we can fall asleep on the couch during halftime and have MORE PIE after the game.

Does anyone remember… We are STILL AT WAR. We have now celebrated 17 Thanksgivings AT WAR in ONE COUNTRY and thousands of men and women are NOT here, at home, where they SHOULD be. Every politician worth their salt will say “Support the Troops”…

To say the day the Towers Fell is an event sacred ONLY to New Yorkers is a fallacy. That day touched the lives of EVERY American in real-time, and blood is still being spilled by the sons and daughters of EVERY State in the Union. The lives of friends I have known since high school have been upended by war. Marriages ended, futures rearranged, sacrifices beyond all compare… all for THAT day.

These lip service politicians live on the LIES that keep this war going, and the divisive nature that comes from support for military personnel vs. support for an unpopular war. It is sad to say it, but it seems NO ONE IS SAYING IT LOUD ENOUGH! When we call up our military to defend our Liberty, we become INDEBTED TO THEM FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES. And to do any disservice to them LESSENS our standing as a free nation, just as much as locking children in jails for seeking asylum. So when we dishonor them TO BEGIN WITH, by extending the war, by starting ANOTHER WAR, then ENDING THAT WAR, to go and fight in Northern Africa, and the Middle East, and Korea, and CALIFORNIA…?!?

And we STILL fight in Afghanistan. Today.

I continue to seek a reason I should NOT run for President. I continue to find more confirmation that I SHOULD. I don’t say these things out of ignorance or arrogance, I say these things out of a sence of DUTY. Because I BELIEVE it to be true…

Why are YOU voting?

I am shocked no one sees it. I am EXCITED! It’s an upwelling… a surge. A wave BIGGER than anyone can see. The earthquake was MASSIVE, and he continues to damage our Country. But the wave it caused is deceptive. As it approaches shore, its SIZE will become apparent!

Voter enthusiasm is high! Voter turnout is at record highs! BOTH Democrat and Republican, excited to vote FOR our basic human rights! NO ONE is excited to go vote for anything supporting Trump’s agenda. Republicans were biting the bullet, and those who despised the MORAL DECAY planned to stay home November 6th.

… but then the Kavanaugh hearings happened.

NO Republican Senator STOOD UP for a victim of sexual assault. NO Republican Senator believed the POWERFUL testimony, under oath, before Congress and the World, of Dr. Christine Blassey Ford. And NONE of them can give a clear answer as to why. Key witnesses were ignored. Credible allegations ignored, perjury dismissed as partisan attacks, politicians IGNORING the SAFETY and WELLBEING of 50% of their constituents. The blatant disregard for the Rule of Law and the wholesale liquidation of Our VALUES as a Country now demands… everyone must vote.

THAT is the surge in Republican enthusiasm. It is painfully obvious to anyone who values Our Constitution… Why am I voting? Because our CURRENT elected officials stand impotent in the face of an imminent threat to our National Security. In fact, IF you watch the actions of the Leader of the Republican Party, our elected officials seem to be AIDING our foreign advasries through INTENTIONAL INACTION.

If you SEE something, SAY something!

So the stage is lit, and the players are at their marks. We see how the story must go. And of course, as has been the constant recurring central theme throughout this entire fiasco, a group of refugees numbering close to 7,000 is making its way HERE, to Our Country… to Our Home. Asking for SAFETY. Asking for a CHANCE…

What are YOU gonna tell them? Would you turn them away? Because that would be, at least, compassionate… compaired to what the President and the Congress and the Justice Department and the Department of Homeland Security have planned for FAMILIES, REFUGEES… a huddled mass yearning to be FREE.

THIS is the easy part! The unity, the comradery, the “Democracy In Action!”… Pull the Lever and Make a Difference!

AFTER the election… THAT is where the work begins. That is where our mettle will be tested. When the votes are counted and the SHEER SIZE of the rejection becomes apparent… what do you think HE will say? Hmmm…

“More people voted for the Democrat candidate than there are Registered Democrats! RIGGED ELECTION!”

He’s going to test the RESOLVE of the American People. He’s going to STAND, bald-faced, blustering, and barbaric, telling everyone “It’s ‘THEM’! ‘THEY’ did this! ‘THEY’ are trying to take away your ‘THING’ or ‘STUFF’! No Republican would EVER vote against ‘America’!”

STAND… do NOT be silent… in for a DIME, in for a DOLLAR. United, we have stood on shores more dangerous than this, more drenched in blood than we have seen SO FAR. And the lessons that they missed BEFORE we landed at Normandy must be remembered NOW-

No appeasement.

STAND UP for the Rule of Law Everytime. Every where.

“Selling The Drama”

The message of the People was spoken loud and clear in 2016… The System is BROKEN. It must change from WITHOUT. Hold your nose, here we go.

Because we were given, once again as it has been in so many past elections, the choice between the “lesser of two evils”. But BOTH candidates this time around were ‘evils’, none the less! With “encouragement” on one side, and the other side… an “elitist mentality” in charge of the execution of a political campaign, we have elected a TRUE catalyst of Change. Our in-fighting and distrust of our countrymen led us to elect a morally bankrupt President. It’s not a shock, because the runner-up was thoroughly vetted in 2008, and the voters decided then that her vote in favor of war in Iraq was a disqualifier for the Presidency.

IF we negate everything… the constant lies, the racism, the uncaring attitude toward those in need, the collusion, the criminal acts… the other candidate was still Hillary Clinton. Our system, as flawed and corrupt as it is, STILL produces the best candidates available, even if it is only the best from a small, stagnated political pool.

Karma knows no race, no creed, and no sex.

Hillary sealed her own fate when she tilted the playing field in her favor in the primary elections against Bernie Sanders. By removing the blindfold, by intentionally manipulating the system to her advantage, the more appropriate candidate for THAT period of time, was cheated out of his chance to defeat Donald Trump.

I have no doubt Bernie would have SMOKED Donald Trump in the debates.

Slowly, or maybe not as slowly as it seems, Republicans are realizing what Democrats knew all along… Donald Trump is not ‘Of the People’ as he claimed to be. He is not on the side of “Working Class” Americans. He is of the same “class” we voted against in 2012. The people who shun the “47%” of citizens who “sponge” off the system. The “power hungry” men with a binder full of sexual harassment lawsuits… and future targets.

I believe that, if given a CHOICE between the divisive, corrupted, self-indulgent political candidates from our PAST; or a “clean slate”… a genuine man ‘Of the People’, who possesses the characteristics ALL Americans believe a President should have, who has no corrupt financial agenda, who is presenting a SOLUTION to the societal division that has brought our Legislature to a STANDSTILL…

I believe The People will make the right choice. I believe the People are longing for a candidate who is “clean”. Untouched by a swamp filled with corrupt money burned to fuel ego and power, as well as corrupt money dedicated to subverting the truth. Obfuscating our unity. Belittling compassion as anti-American. I believe we are more united than we let on, because I am a Progressive from Kansas. PROOF that tolerance exists… I have not yet been kicked out!

And this same mindset of ‘funding the subversion of truth’ exists in our political discourse. BOTH sides believe the opposition is attempting to take away their rights! Our guns, our religion, our identity, and now children… where does THAT go? How does THAT EVOLVE? We allow these divisive ideas, these occult agendas, to spark our imaginations because we can plainly see, CLEARLY, the SYSTEM is NOT WORKING. Something is not functioning as it should when established, precedented LAW is publicly broken… and NOTHING happens.

A black man is shot dead in front of his young daughter… and NOTHING happens.

A black man is shot dead in his BACKYARD unarmed… and NOTHING happens.

An old white man promotes sexually violating a woman, and brags about it being acceptable… they let you do anything… and NOTHING happens.

When we start a war to defeat an organization that seeks to spread their ideology via terror, to keep ourselves and others safe from terrorism… BUT we start another war, with another country that has NO known ties to our current enemy, and The President says OUT LOUD, in front of a camera “I really don’t think about him(osama bin laden).”

… and NOTHING happens.

An old white lady tortures a Man for DAYS WITHOUT END, to justify the unjustifiable … and NOTHING happens.

When all around us we see the details of devils profiting off of the sorrows of our friends and family, we suddenly see EVERYONE as the “devil”. IF no one is living within the rule of Law, then EVERYONE is the enemy… EXCEPT people on “my team”.

Now that the anger and lies have trained our sights inward, the last piece falls into place- “No one follows the Law.” “The other side wants to take away what’s left of my rights.” “I cannot trust anyone.” “EVEN IF their argument is the Truth and the answer, it MUST be corrupted and unlawful.”

Our Constitution provides the structure, within which our Rights EXIST. Without it, our Rights DO NOT EXIST. To disregard one is to throw away another. The ONLY truth is WITHIN the Constitution. The immovable rock ALL is built upon. Our faith in this Document is unwavering because it is our DUTY to defend it. The Law presents the method for our government to function, and when our government is functioning poorly the remedies are written within as well.

The “Checks and Balances” will correct! If they do not, then NO PROBLEM existed to begin with. IF there WAS a problem and the Law could not fix it, that would suggest fault with OUR system, and those who are suggesting legal subversion of the Constitution are just as TREASONOUS as those who colluded with the enemy…

BUT WHO IS THE ENEMY?!!

Others… who don’t “look like me”, who don’t “speak like me”, who don’t “worship the same god”… who I cannot prove belong here.

BUT WHO BELONGS HERE?!!

I can discredit your arguments with ‘But IFs’ and ‘Whatabouts’ all day long, and we would go ’round and ’round, back to where we started. As our arguments have gone and come ’round full circle, we stand pointing a finger at “others”. “So he did it, that means I can, too.” “But why didn’t we investigate her? Why does she get away with obvious crimes?” “I’ve been wronged by society, by corrupt laws, so now I will manipulate Law to bring ‘justice’ for myself, as ‘others’ seem to be doing.”

If We want to change an unjust system, we MUST look forward to what CAN BE. If we legislate with our hearts focused on the PAST, we will fall back into the tainted cycle of the political pendulum.

Our problem is ‘dilution’. The power of the ballot box is extraordinary and can effect the destiny of every living being on this planet. Yet, it is “watered down” by the Electoral College. No matter the strength of support for, or opposition against a candidate, the outcome of our election is decided WEEKS AFTER the ballots are counted. And EVERY voter knows the Electors have the Liberty to choose whomever they “feel” should be president. We HOPE they do as the voters decide! We can only hope, though.

The fate of Nations decided on a cold day in December, behind closed doors, with little regard for the People who are effected most by the outcome, all firmly based on a “hope”.

That’s NOT a very Pride-inspiring description!

When We chose to take responsibility for the POWER of our vote. When We OWN the awesome power of Our Commander-In-Chief… a CITIZEN, from among ourselves, picked to be elevated as a representative of our Nation… we will see that “hope” vanish, to be replaced with JOYFUL HUMILITY!
