The Enemies of Democracy come dressed in the same attire, seen countless times before. They come bearing badges of honor… to enforce THEIR RULE, upon those deemed worthy of merely being ruled over.

The Defenders of Democracy are myriad and opalescent. Carrying with them their CHILDREN… clothed only in the scars of WAR. They stand to defend. They MARCH out of necessity. They fight to defend their home.

A task deemed worthy of no less, than the loss of their OWN LIFE.

These are the values of a FREE PEOPLE.

So too, are the values of The People of The United States.

Because we know— if it can happen to ONE of us, then it can happen to us ALL. It’s only a matter of TIME. If we turn a blind eye now, toward the suffering and injustice; so too, for us… it will be the same. In our time of need, in our hour of oppression… our fate will have already been sealed, long before the first shots are fired.

As we cry out for HELP, the question will be asked… ‘What did you do to help keep their Democracy intact?’

Will it be said that the United States of America, stood on the sidelines and did nothing… or will it be remembered as a time in which we chose to ACT.

Today, we reap the bounty of their misfortunes. We HONOR the memory of their sacrifices by ensuring it will never happen again.

There is no regret greater than that born of INACTION.

One of Ten

I drove up to Fort Leavenworth today… as I do whenever I’m in need of CONTEXT.

I rarely walk the rows of our most recently fallen service members as I don’t want to disturb grieving families, so I make a commitment to HONOR the memories of soldiers who most likely… no longer have someone around to remember their name.

As I read the stones, in my mind I say the names and ranks, in HONOR of their service. Some stones still “speak” and give a flash of LIFE… a unique characteristic, a nickname, a eulogy. A rebellious salute to the end of a life STAINED by WAR, made by an aged VETERAN who’s SPIRIT remained untarnished by the evils brought with it.

A majority are marked with the Cross of Christ, so the stones marked with a Star of David or the Star and Crescent reveal even more depth, and some stones mark the resting place of TWO souls…

The WOMEN who stood behind those heroes in LIFE, chose to rest beside them in death.

The oldest military grave at Fort Leavenworth Cemetery is that of Captain James Allen, who died in 1846, when our President was James K. Polk… 174 YEARS AGO.

Representatives from the Civil War, the Spanish-American War, WWI… fighting for the United States of America on HORSEBACK. Thousands of BRAVE men and women who’ve dedicated their lives to our Nation, over the course of CENTURIES…

The bitter wind blows through the oaks, rustling the crisp brown leaves and the clock chimes at the top of the hour. The sound echoes off the hillside, the SILENCE echoes throughout TIME.

I am humbled to think ‘WHAT CAUSE could rally so many people to give ALL of themselves, to ensure its continued existence… and could there ever be another seen as its EQUAL?’

As I pass the obelisk and crest the hill, the view of markers standing at attention rolls down and across the valley, and the scenery starts to change… WWII, Korea, Vietnam, the Persian Gulf, Afghanistan, Iraq… Mounds of DIRT. Freshly laid flowers. THEN, just grass. A sprawling hillside with a couple saplings, the green contrasting sharply with its marble edging…

… I now know where I stand.

… and this is only one of TEN. This is the culmination of over 230 years of scientific achievement, born of our CAUSE, our dedication to Equal Justice Under Law.

But the “Big Stick” is only a HOLLOW SHELL without the men and women who makeup her LIFEBLOOD, without whom she does not SAIL.

I do not say these things to boast. I do not say this to intimidate. I am simply stating a FACT, bringing CLARITY to a situation we’ve ALL seen before.

Our Experience must guide us now.

Let us not speak of escalation, when we KNOW where that path LEADS. At the end of that road, we know what fate LIES.

FIRST it’s a tanker, then it’s a refinery. Then it’s a military DRONE. Now, LIVES. First its US, then it’s THEM… once upon a time it was the Gulf of Tonkin. And before THAT, it was the Archduke Franz Ferdinand, and MANY years before… REVOLUTIONARIES. Dressed in a FALSE FLAG, wearing the clothes of NATIVES… drunkenly throwing TEA into a harbor…

We know where the path of escalation LEADS. A cost, measured in LIVES.

What GOOD is Experience if we do not LEARN from it? What will become of our collective KNOWLEDGE if we do not SHARE IT?

“The only winning move is: not to play.”

In so far as it is within my power… I will work toward ensuring that Kansas Hillside, stays forever GREEN.

In the late 2000’s, Professor Turley appeared regularly on MSNBC as a legal analyst. Even though his opinion had a conservative lean to it, he always seemed fair and straight forward with his positions.

Flash forward 10 years…

From the beginning of my campaign I’ve attempted to start conversations with legal experts via social media about my proposals, and Prof. Turley was one of the first. I did so because I was familiar with his legal opinions in 2008. I was NOT familiar with his opinions SINCE that time.

Prof. Turley appeared on MSNBC a few times in the spring of 2018. That motivated me to reach out, publicly, on Twitter. He did not respond.

I have not sought his advice SINCE that time, and I will not be seeking it in the future.

What’s the FIRST THING that comes to mind when you see one of these?

“SWEET… hey! Can I plug my phone in?”

“OUCH! Don’t put your finger in there!”

Or maybe, just simply “… does it WORK?”

There are MANY questions that can come to mind. An endless stream of possibilities of all shapes and sizes. Thankfully, there’s one question no one has think about:

“If I plug this in, will it be destroyed?”

A consistent flow of POWER. From my living room here in KCK, to the halls of Harvard or Yale. Wherever you see one of these, whatever device you plug into it will get a pre-determined, regulated flow of power. No matter what State you’re in, in every city, in every building, as required by law.

This assurance makes creating ways of utilizing that POWER much easier and more effective. Producing products tailor-made to work specifically in EACH STATE would be costly, and consumers would have to remember WHAT can be used and in WHICH State. Every time we move to a different State, we’d have to ADAPT to a different regulation of POWER. Some States would have MORE power flowing to the PEOPLE, and others… LESS.

Some States believe government isn’t the answer to ANY of our problems, so there might be some States where the guarantee of an even distribution of POWER doesn’t exist. Some cities in that State might receive TOO MUCH power at one particular time, while at the SAME TIME other cities have NO POWER. Of course elected officials would want to make sure ALL citizens had access to SOME power. After all… the interests of the people who DOLE that power out have to be considered, too…

The establishment of a nationwide infrastructure to provide consistent POWER for ALL PEOPLE paved the way for advances in technology that were unimaginable before it was accomplished. People lived their entire lives not knowing that power was available to them. Once it was established that EVERYONE should have access, people began to see the POTENTIAL that power held, and they IMAGINED new ways for that power to be harnessed, directed toward making the lives of EVERYONE better.

Our Government ensures the flow of POWER for THE PEOPLE.

Un-regulated flow of POWER is dangerous. If not given PROPER OVERSIGHT it can spark flames that can consume entire cities. That’s why great care and attention should be paid to EVERY STEP of the process; from the point of creation, to its distribution, to the utilization of that POWER by the products we’ve created from it… as well as what will BE created from it.

The good realized from an un-regulated flow of power is miniscule compared to what CAN be achieved when that SAME POWER is harnessed and guided under a watchful eye. Today, we CELEBRATE because it’s equally available for ALL, and we’re appalled when we find it’s been withheld from others.

Before the last World War, the impetus for what would eventually become the infrastructure for the electrification of the entire country, came from OUR government. The advancements in the lives of every citizen since have been astonishing, and it begs the question: “Is your life better off NOW than it was 75 YEARS AGO?”

If we spend just a little bit of time NOW, and focus ALL of our passions toward achieving the unthinkable… imagine what could be 75 years FROM now.

Remove the CORRUPTION, restore HONOR in governance.

End The Electoral College.
